|Twiggs County Board of Education|
The Twiggs County Board of Education is comprised of five members that represent the four district throughout the county. The board chairman is elected by the entire voting public within the county. The board meets the second Tuesday of every month. These meetings include staff and student recognition, and public participation. In preparation for regular board meetings, work sessions are held the fourth Tuesday of every month. These sessions include departmental updates, superintendent reports, new and old business of the board.
The Twiggs County School System believes that all students can learn significant material well, and prepare for competition in a global marketplace. In keeping with the system's motto "Generating Excellence", the Twiggs County Board of Education strives to ensure that all administrative and teaching staff meet stringent criteria for quality.
